2008 SALMON SEASON - C L O S E D

April 18, 2008 The California Fish and Game Commission voted unanimously to prohibit commercial and recreational salmon fishing in state ocean waters, which extend three miles off the coast.

J U N E 1st • ROCK COD/LING COD•  - 152 day season

The recreational fishery for rockfish (/Sebastes/ sp.) is open year-round to divers and shore-based anglers only. This fishery will reopen to boat based anglers June 1, 2008. These species may only be taken or possessed in waters less that 120 feet (20 fathoms) deep. The daily bag and possession limit is 10 fish in combination of all species within the RCG Complex (includes all species of Rockfish, Cabezon and Greenlings) per person. Lingcod limits will be 2 per person, 24" minimum length.
